Weekend Project: Plant a Tree for Arbor Day

Friday is Arbor Day. While not everyone has time to drop a workday schedule, this weekend would be a great time to put down a few trees. Your county extension office, local lawn and garden centers, and professional landscapers will be able to help you pick out varieties likely to do well on your property.

Many municipalities will be offering free tree seedlings this weekend. Or join the Arbor Day Foundation: they’ll plant ten trees in a needy forest to celebrate your membership and send you ten more to plant at home!
