This Earth Day, Spend Ten Minutes with Mother Earth

By Chris Baskind in Earth Day

The Souther Hemisphere, as seen from spaceFind some dirt or a little greenspace. Maybe you could kick your shoes off. Let’s spend some quality time with Mother Earth. There’s no objective here — just observe.

Pay attention for a ten minutes, and nature will inevitably show you something. It might be an unexpected critter or sound. Maybe it’s just the way the sun feels on your face. Even for those of us who spend a lot of time thinking and writing about the environment, it’s easy to lose track of the big picture.

So here it is. If you want to save the planet, spend more time enjoying it. And happy Earth Day from all of us at Lighter Footstep.
