Hooray! Companies Coming Clean on Cleaners
By Chris Baskind in The Daily Footstep
Want to do you and your family a favor? Start reading the label on household cleaners. That hasn’t been possible in the past — unless you’re a customer of Ecover, Seventh Generation, or some other consumer-focused company. You might be surprised to know that U.S. law doesn’t require manufacturers to state the ingredients of household cleaning products on the label. But the industry is beginning to offer a peek behind the chemical curtain, anyway. Other manufacturers are promising to follow suit. So start reading, and find out what your family has been breathing all these years.
