Weekend Project: Reduce Water Waste!

By Chris Baskind in The Daily Footstep

Sunday is World Water Day, a great opportunity for each of us to remember this most essential of natural resources. Let’s spend a little time making sure we’re wasting as little as possible. Start by checking for leaks: At a drop a second, a worn tap or outdoor faucet is leeching about 20 gallons a day — over 7000 gallons per year. Fix silent toilet leaks and make sure you’re using water-saving showerheads. Want more ideas? You’ll find a weekend’s worth of easy, meaningful home water projects right here.
