Weekend Project: Get a Tune-Up for Your Car
By Chris Baskind in The Daily Footstep
Getting your car serviced is a chore that never seems to get done during the week. But with driving season just around the corner, it’s time to get the deed done. Depending on how much and what kind of driving you do, keeping your vehicle tuned (air filter, plugs, tire pressure, oil changes, and so on) can improve gas mileage by up to 10 percent. That adds up to hundreds of dollars in annual savings — and fewer harmful emissions going into the air we breathe. So take an hour or two this weekend and put your ride in shape. It will pay dividends all year long.
