One of the best water saving tips is to buy your cup of coffee, but bring your own mug once a week, or even better, if you drink more than one coffee a day (take-away from a cafe) then cut down by one cup. Apparently just one cup consumes 200 Litres of water in its end-to end production. This evidently disheartens me as a greenie and a coffee lover.
