Weekend Project: Start Planning a Rummage Sale

By Chris Baskind in The Daily Footstep

Spring is traditionally a time to clean up and reorganize. But it’s tough to rearrange things if there’s simply no room for storage. This weekend, start planning a rummage sale. Getting those unwanted items out the door will earn you a little extra cash and help others avoid buying newly manufactured items. A successful sale takes some thought: You’ll need to have plenty of stuff if you want to hold the interest of experienced rummagers, and everything should be priced and arranged to make “shopping’ easier. Helpful hint — go easy on clothes, which are a bother to evaluate. And consider a dollar section, to save time with price tags. Happy rummaging!
