Time to Get Those Tools Ready for Spring!
By Chris Baskind in The Daily Footstep
It’s almost time to venture into the garden again, and that means tool fix-up and maintenance. Sharpen and clean your pruning shears, shovels, hoes, and saws. A bigger concern is lawn mowers. The average mower generates more air pollution in a single hour than a small fleet of late-model autos. Money is tight this year, but consider whether you might be in a position to replace your mower with a quiet, emissions-free electrical model. If not, take Old Faithful in its annual service. A properly maintained mower will run cleaner, burn less fuel, and and do a better job at keeping your lawn in top shape through the summer.
