Maybe Now Isn’t the Time for a Hybrid

Funny, isn’t it? Crude oil prices are in the basement, but gasoline is getting more expensive at the pump. Go figure. But with tight credit and a tough economy, maybe now isn’t time for that shiny new hybrid or gas miser. The best most of us can do is keep Old Faithful in good working order. Fortunately, the things we can do to prolong the life our vehicle are the same things that will improve its gas mileage. This week, give some thought to springtime auto maintenance. Good point. If you have access to public transportation — or if walking or biking can meet your needs — now is a great time to say goodbye to vehicle ownership and all its obligations.
