Use Glass Food Containers for Storage and Cooking
By Chris Baskind in The Daily Footstep
Despite the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s recent insistence that plastics containing Bisphenol A are safe for general use, plenty of studies suggest otherwise. In any case, who needs more plastic? Opt for glass storage containers, particularly if you’re heating food in a microwave. Pyrexware and Frigoverre (from Italian company Bormioli Rocco) can go straight from freezer to oven, and should last for years. Hint: glassware makes a great holiday gift!
