This Winter, Air Out Your House — Sparingly

By Chris Baskind in The Daily Footstep

With colder weather at hand in the Northern Hemisphere, you’ll be keeping your home closed more tightly. It’s a good idea to open a window and allow fresh air to circulate, but be aware of the energy costs. Rather than leaving a window cracked all day long, open it wide for about ten minutes. That’s enough to do the job, and makes it less likely you’ll forget a full time energy leak. You’ll save heating costs and the emissions generated by all that wasted power.
