Save Money and Energy with Online Payments

By Chris Baskind in The Daily Footstep

Save stamps, driving — and late fees — with online bill payments. Yes, it takes some discipline and planning. But scheduling online payments is a great way to manage your budget and the actual expense of paying your bills. Most  basic monthly services can be paid electronically. Some banks offer convenient ways to set this up straight from your checking account. As with all online transactions, use a modern web browser; manage your passwords carefully; and keep your computer’s operating system and security software up to date.

It has been almost ten years since I started paying bills online. It has worked pretty well (or maybe I have just been lucky with the bank I have chosen). It saves time. I can pay bills whenever I want - mainly late in the evening. My last visit to the bank was over six months ago.
