Cool Down Your Power Bill By Defrosting The Fridge

The refrigerator is one of your home’s biggest energy gobblers. While now may not be the time to replace it with a more efficient unit, you can make the best of what you have through regular defrosting. If there’s more than a quarter inch of buildup of frost in the freezer, you’re overdue. A defrost cycle is also a good reminder to clean the coils on the back of the refrigerator.
