Weekend Project: Check Your Weather Stripping

By Chris Baskind in The Daily Footstep

With winter weather on the way, this weekend would be a good time to check the condition of your home’s weather stripping. Look for cracks along door and window seals. Don’t forget door thresholds. A lighter is a good tool to check for leaks: if the flame dances when held close to joints, the seal isn’t tight. Replace damaged or missing stripping. A small investment and a few hours of work will add up to big savings on this season’s power bill.

This is very important. With bad weather stripping your home can get freezing cold during winters.
