Keep Your Thanksgiving Bounty Under Control

By Chris Baskind in Holidays, Thanksgiving, The Daily Footstep

Planning your holidays meals? Don’t overdo it. Cook enough for family and guests, but avoid the temptation to load your table with food that won’t get eaten. There are only so many leftovers you can tolerate after the big day, and there’s nothing green about wasting food. At the very least, immediately freeze unused portions. And don’t forget to compost vegetable-based trash: healthy soil means a better harvest in the garden next year.
